Costa Rica is a small country with two weather seasons. The dry season officially starts in December to the end of April, and the raining season from May to November. There are better chances to avoid rain during the dry season but the weather is changing worldwide and we cannot perfect it anymore. We recommend avoiding peak seasons (Christmas, New Year and Easter). During the raining season there are beautiful morning followed by raining later afternoons or evenings. In this area from Dominical to Ojochal there is a big advantage and are the mountains on the east side of the coast. They received most of the rains that arrive later to the beach side. Also, at the end of July there use to be a short summer time. Anyway, and no matter what time of the year you decide there is always good to have a backup plan. We guarantee you that no matters what the weather will be you will have the most wonderful day of your life.
Dominical, located in the South Pacific area recently named Costa Ballena, has become a pristine and exclusive Destination Wedding. The new road just built connecting Manuel Antonio and the Coastal Higway makes the access easy and faster (3 hours driving from San Jose). The area features a Marine National Park and it is less crowded than other wedding destinations in Costa Rica. Because of that, we recommend you to choose this area…. You can have a wonderful event on the beach or mountain combining both views; rustic or elegant, classy or informal… all is possible.
