Dominical is a beach-front town in Bahía Ballena District of the Osa in Puntarenas province of Costa Rica, located approximately 45 km south of Quepos and Manuel Antonio. It is well known for large and year-round waves and is popular among surfers in Costa Rica. The town began as a small fishing village but has since grown into a tourist attraction, most notably for surfers—a worldwide surfing destination.

The town of Dominical is small, groovy, and has a chill atmosphere. You will find locals, backpackers, and surfers walking or riding their bikes around, as well families playing at the beach, especially at sunset time. Sunsets here are spectacular.

The beach is 4km long with dark rocky sand, a rocky shore on the south by the Baru River, deep blue waters, and a hidden beach to the south end during low tide. Dominical Beach is green all year. The lush forest on the mountainside and humidity keep the green beauty all year round.
