A few years ago, couples decided to use different online platforms to stream live the wedding ceremony. They include their loved ones who cannot be present at their wedding for various reasons. Some of these popular Apps are FaceTime, Skype, Facebook, to name a few.

The increase of the use of social media and apps as Instagram or Facebook has helped too with another popular trend that couples have adopted lately, creating their hashtag. This hashtag could be something relating to destination wedding they decided to go, or just using their names. All attendees taking photos or being active on social media during the event can share their photos using the wedding hashtag. The virtual social media will keep friends and family on the loop of the wedding day.

In the current times of the Covid-19 pandemic, we find ourselves going through adapting to different ways to plan our lives, and virtual weddings become more common than you thought. Many couples affected by the pandemic, could not travel to the chosen destination, or could not carry out the ceremonies and receptions planned. Moreover, many of the wedding couples decided not to cancel or postpone the wedding event. They were determined to follow their commitment on the date announced and long-awaited for their weddings. These couples, using virtual platforms like Zoom, achieved the goal and celebrated with their friends and family because one thing is real: love will remain forever.

Start planning your virtual wedding, whether it’s just the two of you or a whole gaggle of guests!
